Priority Mail Express (PME) embargo due to chemical spill
Due to the extended impacts from a chemical spill at the Memphis, TN, FedEx hub, the United States Postal Service is advising mailers of an embargo on Priority Mail Express service (PME). This product will not be accepted across the retail counters or through other acceptance units starting from 3 p.m. EST Monday, March 2, until 12:01 a.m. EST Friday, March 6.
Mailers are encouraged to use Priority Mail services (PM) until the Priority Mail Express (PME) embargo is lifted. The Postal Service continues to monitor and assess conditions with FedEx and if the embargo can be lifted sooner, an update will be provided at that time.
